Things are going pretty good in Tohatchi. This past Monday we got together as a zone in Gallup and played some basketball as well as some rugby. It was super fun. Gallup is certainly an interesting place.
Things that happen on the reservation as a missionary. Elder Bowie and I were teaching this guy on the front porch of his house. While were reading the scriptures with him, a goat comes and starts biting Elder Bowie’s suit coat. The lesson just continued and nobody got hurt.
Something awesome about this past week was that there’s this super old guy. He’s almost 90 years old and still going strong. He can’t hear a lick and can hardly speak English. But, the coolest part is he’s one of the very few active priesthood holders in the branch. So, what does he do? He passes the sacrament! In all honesty, it’s super cute (appropriate word to use). He’ll be sleeping and then we’ll walk by and he’ll just wake up, get up, smile really big, and give us a strong handshake.
Thanks for all the help and support! Here’s the 14th point of the true church. Ready… “The True church must have MISSIONARIES!” That’s me! Matt 28:19-20:”Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Also, Isaiah 52:7 – “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!.” It’s amazing to see how the gospel can make someone’s life better and more meaningful. I’m really enjoying being out here and getting to meet so many people. I love this Easter season and sharing the message of resurrection and hope with those around me.
Yeah, check out the Easter video the church put out on Mormon.org. It’s super cool. Anyways, I’m doing great and hope you all are as well! Have a great week! Love you! Enjoy the “Madness of March!”
