Hello, everyone! Here’s a miracle from the past week. We’ve been working with this family for a month or so and the father is really interested (his name is Adrian). He’s been reading the Book of Mormon on his own and really loving what he reads. We’ve taught them about the plan of salvation and how they are all children of a loving Father in Heaven who wants them to accept the gospel and return to live in their “Heavenly Home.” The only problem was he works a lot and on Sundays. Well, prayers are answered in mysterious ways. This past week he decided that his current job wasn’t working out and so he’s trying to find a job with less hours that doesn’t make him work on Sundays! It’s a great trial of his faith, but he loves how much the gospel is centered on families, So, that was something really cool.
Also, We were driving around on the outskirts of Tohatchi and talked to a guy we met a month ago. He was outside playing with his new power washer. He asked if he could try it on our truck. We’re like “sure”. He ended up deep cleaning our truck to make it cleaner than it’s ever been! It happened early in the week and now the tires are back to normal (with all the dogs peeing on them). We shared with him how you can receive answers to your prayers and receive personal revelation. Who doesn’t want that?
Right now, I’m reading in the beginning of Alma with Alma the Younger giving up his chair as chief judge and preaching the gospel. I love how Alma is never idle. He’s always making sure somebody is hearing about the gospel and building up the kingdom of God. Even though the righteous still faced trials, they stood firm in their faith. Here’s how Alma writes it in verse 25 of chapter 1 :”Now this was a great trial to those that did stand fast in the faith; nevertheless, they were steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments of God, and they bore with patience the persecution which was heaped upon them.” No matter where you are, you’re going to face some bad things. Like the people of Alma, they had patience and hoped for better things to come through their faith and diligence in keeping the commandments. Anyways, I’m really loving how I can teach others about happiness and eternal truths every day.
Thanks for all the support and love. Love you all! Have a good week!
Here is the fence we’ve been working on with this guy Herman. He’s not a member but super nice to us. Reminds me a lot like Pappy. He has a goal of starting a garden. Anyways, we’re teaching him and his family now and they are really cool.
I don’t know if I mentioned this yet, but If I ever get bored after my mission I’m going to write a book titled “1001 ways to hold up your swamp cooler”. Number 548 – “The Tower”
